TaylorMade Golf is headquartered in Carlsbad California, and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the German based Adidas company since 1997. Started in 1979 by Gary Adams, TaylorMade was the forerunner in one of the greatest innovations in modern golf equipment, the metalwood. Since 1979, TaylorMade has remained at the peak of golf product innovations and is one of the largest brands around today. TaylorMade manufactures drivers, putters, wedges, woods and irons. Many notable golfers have been endorsed by TaylorMade over the years, including Sergio Garcia, John Daly, Retief Goosen, David Toms, Corey Pavin, Fred Funk and Hale Irwin.
